Vapor barrier film
Insulated structures require protection against vapor and humidity generated inside the building.
A number of different vapor barrier materials are used in a building.
The most versatile vapor barrier is film, the thicker it is, the better. In the case of a conventional film, it should be taken into account that when exposed to oxygen, the film ages rapidly and can be destroyed in the wall even only with 20 years.
Therefore, additives that increase the resistance to aging are used on certified vapor barrier films, regarding the use of which a "trident" shaped marking has been made on the product, and compliance with building norms has been printed next to it.
According to the norms, the life expectancy of the film is 50 years.
